Man Dies After Being Struck with Stones in Bajura Brawl

Bajura. One person has died in a clash between locals in Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality-2, Bajura. Sarwash Budha, 35, died after being beaten by local Dhan Bahadur Mahatara, 45, and his son Hemraj, 18, according to Police Assistant Inspector Rabindra Dhami of the temporary police post Muktikot.

According to him, Mahatara and Budha had an old dispute. The fight started around 6:00 PM today, and during the altercation, Budha died on the spot after Mahatara and his son struck him on the head with a stone.

Police Assistant Inspector Dhami stated that Budha was hit with a stone and died at 6:30 PM, and the temporary police post Muktikot received information one hour after the incident, at 7:30 PM.

Following the report, a team led by the Police Assistant Inspector reached the scene and took the perpetrator Dhan Bahadur Mahatara into custody, while his son Hemraj remains at large, police sources confirmed. Police have stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
