US House to Reintroduce War Powers Resolution to Limit Trump's Authority on Iran Conflict

Washington D.C. The United States is set to bring the War Powers Resolution back to the House for a vote, aiming to limit President Donald Trump's authority to engage in conflict with Iran, according to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

Jeffries stated in an interview with MSNBC, "We introduced the War Powers Resolution in the House at the beginning of this month, but it failed by a few votes. As the session opens today, we will advance this same measure again."

According to him, some Democratic members who previously opposed the resolution are now preparing to support it. Jeffries mentioned that these members have indicated they will support the measure if it is brought before the House again.

Last time, four Democratic members of the House voted against the resolution. This move will attempt to legally restrict President Trump's authority to make independent decisions regarding war.
