Iranian Security Forces Arrest Over 20 Suspected Spies in Northwest Region

Kathmandu. Iranian security officials have arrested at least 20 individuals suspected of espionage in the country's northwestern region. It was found that the arrested individuals were sending secret military, legal, and security details to the Israeli side.

The arrests occurred during a widespread raid on a spy network in the West Azerbaijan province. According to provincial prosecutor Hossein Majidi, it has been confirmed that the arrested individuals were tampering with the country's security and confidential information.

Iranian officials continue widespread espionage investigations across the country, and it has been reported that hundreds of people have recently been arrested on charges of collaborating with Israel and other foreign powers.

This incident is related to the Middle Eastern conflict that began after US and Israeli airstrikes on February 28, following which Iran retaliated after the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in those attacks.
