Rastriya Swatantra Party Prioritizes Finalizing Proportional Representation List Before Government Formation Talks

Kathmandu. Manish Jha, spokesperson for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), stated that the party's entire focus is currently centered on finalizing the list of proportional representation (PR) members of parliament.

 He informed that preparations are underway to submit an excellent and inclusive list within the deadline set by the Election Commission, and discussions regarding government formation will only take place afterward. 

Speaking to journalists before the party's secretariat meeting held at the party office on Sunday, the spokesperson said that the party's secretariat meeting today would finalize the final list of PR parliamentarians. 

'Our first priority is to submit the list of proportional representation members to the Election Commission. We will ensure the 33 percent female participation mandated by the constitution and incorporate the best inclusive practices for Dalits, Janajatis, Madhesis, and others,' he said.

Indicating that the RSP will play an effective role in the new majority government, the spokesperson stated that the party views the ongoing discussions about ministry allocations positively.
