International Women's Football Gold Cup with NPR 1.1 Million Prize Money to be Held in Bhadrapur

Jhapa. An international knockout women's football gold cup competition with a cash prize of NPR 1.1 million is going to be organized in Bhadrapur.

Rohit Subba, the chairman of the Chandragadhi Youth Club, which is organizing the competition, informed that the tournament will be held from Baisakh 5 to 14, 2083, at the Mechi Stadium. Om Sai Pathibhara Hospital of Bhadrapur will be the main sponsor of the competition.

Club Chairman Subba stated that the winning team will receive a cash prize of NPR 1.1 million. This is the first time such a large cash prize is being awarded in the history of women's football.

According to him, 10 women's football teams from Nepal, India, and Bhutan will participate, and top teams from Nepal, along with teams from India and Bhutan, are confirmed to attend. The organizers mentioned they are trying to bring teams from other countries as well.

He stated that the competition will be organized with the goal of making Jhapa a hub for women's football and encouraging players who see a future in football. Necessary preparations are currently underway on the field at Mechi Stadium for the competition.
