Vicky Kaushal May Replace Ranveer Singh in Director S. Shankar's Epic 'Velpari'

Hyderabad. New discussions have started regarding South Indian cinema legend director S. Shankar's highly anticipated dream project 'Velpari'. According to recent media reports, there is an increased possibility that Vicky Kaushal might feature in this mega-budget film instead of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh.

South Indian superstar Dhanush is already confirmed for the lead role in the film. Although Ranveer Singh's name was previously in discussion for another major role, it is now reported that the production team has entered into serious talks with Vicky Kaushal.

This film will be based on the famous Tamil novel 'Veera Yuga Nayagan Vel Pari', written by acclaimed author Su. Venkatesan. Based on a historical narrative, this film will bring to the screen the life and valor of Velpari, the benevolent ruler of ancient Tamil Nadu.

Director Shankar considers this project the most ambitious plan of his career and has already requested a long shooting schedule from Dhanush for it.

If Vicky Kaushal is signed for this film, audiences will get to see the new pairing of powerhouse actors like Dhanush and Vicky on screen for the first time. This is expected to be another major collaboration between the Bollywood and South film industries.
