Oppressed Communities Express Joy Over Balen Shah's Leadership in Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. Representatives of oppressed communities, including Madhesis and Tharus, have expressed happiness over the widespread public support for the leadership of Balendra Shah (Balen) in the House of Representatives election of 2082.

A meeting of the United Front held on Friday stated that it is a matter of great joy for them to see Balen as the Prime Minister, resulting from the long struggle and sacrifice made by Madhesis, Tharus, and other oppressed communities for the dream of becoming the executive head of the country. Furthermore, the meeting extended advance best wishes and congratulations to Balen.

The meeting also expressed confidence that issues such as constitutional amendment, redrawing of boundaries, ensuring representation based on population, publicizing the Lal Commission report, and further strengthening federalism will be addressed, institutionalizing the achievements established through the long struggle and sacrifice of the Nepali people, including republicanism, federalism, democracy, and inclusivity.

Likewise, the meeting also decided to congratulate the senior leader of the Federal Democratic Front, Mahantha Thakur, on being elected as a member of the National Assembly and wished him a successful tenure.
