Drone Strike Kills 13 Civilians, Including Five Women, at Sudan-Chad Border Crossing

Sudan. Thirteen civilians, including five women, were killed in a powerful drone attack at the Adre crossing on the border between Sudan and Chad. According to the Coordination Council of the Al-Junayna Emergency Room, the drone targeted the crossing and fired four missiles. Five other people were seriously injured in the attack.

This attack completely destroyed the fuel market located in the border area. The council stated that the missile strikes caused significant damage to civilian vehicles parked there and resulted in the destruction of a large quantity of food supplies by fire. All those killed were small traders who used to transport fuel and food via traditional carts between Adre city in Chad and Sudan for their daily livelihood.

The latest violence in this conflict-ridden area has deepened the humanitarian crisis.
