French Soldier Killed in Drone Attack in Iraqi Kurdistan, President Macron Confirms

Paris. A French soldier was killed and several others were injured in a drone attack in the Erbil region of Iraq. This information was provided by French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to Macron, the deceased soldier was Chief Warrant Officer Arnaud Frion. This is reportedly the first death among French troops since the war with Iran began.

President Macron expressed condolences to the deceased soldier via social media, stating that the nation's sympathy and solidarity are with his family and fellow soldiers. He also informed that the other soldiers injured in the attack are receiving treatment.
