Two Killed in Head-on Collision Between Jeep and Motorcycle in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur. Two people died in a collision between a jeep and a motorcycle on the Mahendranagar-Daiji section of the East-West Highway on Wednesday afternoon.

The District Police Office, Kanchanpur, reported that two people riding the motorcycle died when the vehicle collided with the Se 1 Ja 1405 Bolero jeep traveling from Mahendranagar towards Attariya and the motorcycle with registration number Me 2 Pa 3506 coming from the opposite direction.

Police Inspector Birendra Thapa of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, stated that two people riding the motorcycle, who were seriously injured in the accident, have died. "Detailed information about the incident is yet to come," said Police Inspector Thapa, "Although the motorcycle rider and passenger have died, their identities have not yet been confirmed."

Police have taken the jeep driver into custody.
