Four Injured After Two Drones Crash Near Dubai International Airport

Kathmandu. Four people were injured when two drones crashed near Dubai International Airport, the main airport in the United Arab Emirates, on Wednesday morning.

Providing information about the incident, the Dubai Media Office stated via the social media platform X that one Indian national sustained moderate injuries, while two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national suffered minor injuries.

According to officials, the drones crashed in the area surrounding the airport. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The Dubai administration clarified that air traffic operations continued normally even after the incident. Detailed information regarding the extent of damage to the airport's infrastructure has not yet been publicly released.

Security risks at airports, maritime routes, and energy infrastructure in the Gulf region are increasing due to the escalating conflict between the US-Israel and Iran in the Middle East. Recently, ships around the Strait of Hormuz and regional military installations have also been targeted by attacks.
