Actress Roshni Karki Met 10 Sex Workers for Role in Upcoming Film 'Lalima'

Actress Roshni Karki stated that she met 10 sex workers before acting in the film 'Lalima'. She mentioned that since the film's story is centered on the mindset of sex workers, she had to meet them to understand the mindset of sex workers in the Nepali context for her acting.

'I talked with the sex workers. They shared their problems, pain, and state of mind,' she told Ratopati, 'That made it easier for me to build the character for the film.' She shared that the sex workers she met ranged from college-going girls to those in middle age.

'I found that everyone entered this profession due to financial problems. They range from teenage girls to middle-aged women,' she said, 'They entered this profession to overcome their financial difficulties.'

Roshni plays the character of a sex worker named 'Lalima' in the film 'Lalima,' which is set to release on Falgun 29.
