Snowfall blocks Baglung section of Mid-Hill Highway

Baglung February 28 — Due to rain and snowfall from this morning, the Baglung section of the Mid-Hill Highway has been blocked.

The road has been obstructed due to heavy snow accumulation on the road, particularly affecting the Nisikhola- East Rukum section of the highway.

Approximately one and a half feet of snow has fallen in Nisikhola Rural Municipality-6, Patihalne.

Due to the blockage, vehicles operating from areas such as East Rukum, West Rukum, Jajarkot, and Dolpa have come to a halt, informed Nisikhola Rural Municipality Chairman, Surya Bahadur Gharti Magar.

Heavy snowfall has also occurred in the upper region of Nepal's only hunting reserve, the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve.

Local resident Chak Bahadur Adai of Dhorpatan Municipality-9 shared that the snowfall from the morning has disrupted daily life in the area.
