Photo Feature: Babarmahal flooded, rescue operation conducted

Kathmandu, February 12 — A water pipe burst in Babarmahal today, leading to severe flooding at government buildings, including the Special Court and Kathmandu District Court.

Water from the burst pipe flowed into the premises of these offices, causing widespread flooding.

The water accumulation submerged vehicles parked in the area and disrupted traffic movement on the surrounding roads. As a result, employees and civilians were stranded in the flooded buildings.

Rescue operations are underway, and staff and common people have been evacuated from the affected areas. Important documents have also been moved to safe locations to prevent any damage.

Traffic on the nearby roads has been significantly impacted, causing delays in movement throughout the area. Authorities are working to clear the water and restore normalcy.
