Octogenarian burns to death in Gulmi

Butwal, February 12 — An elderly man has died after being burned while warming himself by the fire in Gulmi.

The incident took place in Dhurkot Rural Municipality, Ward No. 7, where 80-year-old Indralal Giri passed away while sitting near a fire at his home, as informed by the District Police Office, Gulmi.

Unmarried, Giri had been living with his brother for a long time.

The incident came to light when Giri's brother, Tekraj Giri, informed the police, after which a team from Dhurkot reached the scene.

To conduct further investigation into the incident, a seven-member police team led by Police Inspector Ram Kumar Thapa from the District Police Office, Gulmi, has already arrived at the site, the police office reported.
