Nepal ranks 107th in Corruption Perception Index

Kathmandu, February 11 — South Sudan has been ranked as the most corrupt country in the world, according to Transparency International Nepal's release of the 'Corruption Perception Index' on Tuesday.

The country scored just 8 points out of 100, with 100 indicating a very clean country and 0 indicating the most corrupt.

Among the 180 countries surveyed, Nepal ranks 107th, with a score of 34, slightly down from last year's score of 35.

Transparency International has pointed out that this result highlights the need for more effective actions to combat corruption in Nepal.
