Dalit activist arrested for attempting to enter Parliament building

Kathmandu, February 10 — Police have detained an individual for attempting to enter the Federal Parliament building.

The person arrested is Khagendra Sunuwar. 

Sunuwar, an activist for the Dalit for Dalit Campaign, attempted to enter the parliament building from Minbhawan to Baneshwor.

He was arrested by the police and taken to the Baneshwor Police Circle.

According to an officer from the Kathmandu District Police Range, Sunuwar was detained for entering a restricted area.
