Poor visibility halts flights at most Terai airport

Kathmandu, January 5 — Due to insufficient visibility, most airports in the Terai region were unable to operate flights on Sunday morning.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport officials, airports in Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Simara, Janakpur, and Biratnagar, among others, did not have adequate visibility for take-offs and landings.

However, visibility is improving at Tumlingtar, Biratnagar, Janakpur, and Nepalgunj airports.

Meanwhile, airports in Bhadrapur, Bharatpur, Pokhara, and Surkhet have resumed flights after a brief delay.
