Nepal Polymer Institute and Uniglobe School announce YSS-2025

Kathmandu, November 10 — The Nepal Polymer Institute (NPI), in partnership with Uniglobe Secondary School, has announced the 9th Young Scientists Summit (YSS-2025), which will be held on December 27-28, 2024, at Uniglobe Secondary School in Kamladi, Kathmandu.

This event aims to provide a platform for young researchers from across Nepal to present their scientific ideas and research projects. The summit invites students from grades VIII to XII to showcase their work in various scientific fields, including life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, and more.

The summit encourages participation from all talented young scientists, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, remote areas, government schools, and differently-abled individuals. It also aims to empower female researchers and foster inclusivity in the scientific community. The event will focus on projects that demonstrate scientific innovation, novelty, and practical applications.

One of the highlights of the summit is the recognition of the best projects in each category, with the top researchers receiving the Young Scientist title and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000. Additionally, winners will have the opportunity to apply for participation in the 14th Asia Pacific Conference of Young Scientists (APCYS) in Singapore, an international event that offers exposure to global research networks and opportunities for collaboration.

Participants will not only gain recognition for their work but also have access to both national and international research opportunities. They will benefit from the scientific guidance and support of the Nepal Polymer Institute, which is a national member organization of IUPAC. This summit offers young scientists a valuable chance to connect with peers, exchange ideas, and take their research careers to new heights.

Interested students are encouraged to submit an abstract of their scientific projects through the provided Google Form link. The organizers hope to bring together a diverse group of innovative young minds from all across Nepal for this exciting event, fostering scientific dialogue, collaboration, and future breakthroughs in various fields of science and technology.
