Three deaths reported in separate accidents

Kathmandu, October 17 — Three individuals have died in separate accidents. According to the Police Headquarters, a motorcycle with the license plate number Pra-3-030001 collided with a car (Ba.1 Cha 1049) at Nawadurga Chowk in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-4, Chitwan, on Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of the motorcycle rider, 31-year-old Ritesh Yadav, a resident of Bharatpur-5.

Yadav, who sustained serious injuries, passed away during treatment at New Medical College Bharatpur. The accident occurred when the motorcycle collided with another motorcycle (Na.25 Pa 5799) and then struck the car. The riders of both motorcycles and the car driver have been taken into custody by the police.

In another incident, a Hiace van (Ba.5 Kha 3627) traveling from Jhapa to Kathmandu lost control and crashed on the road in Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-7, Dhanusha. The accident claimed the life of 49-year-old Basudev Gautam, a resident of Aathrai Rural Municipality-2 in Tehrathum. He died late Wednesday night during further treatment at the Trauma Center Hospital in Kathmandu. The Hiace driver has also been detained by the police.

In a third incident, a tractor (Pra-1-07-0001 Ta 0018) fell approximately 500 meters down a road while traveling towards Kharikhola in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-1, Solukhumbu. The driver, 24-year-old Mingma Dawa Sherpa from Siddhicharan Municipality-7 in Okhaldhunga, died in the accident that occurred on Wednesday night. He succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Kharikhola Community Hospital. The police have stated that an investigation into the accidents is ongoing.
