Motorcycle-scooter collision in Chitwan claims one life

Chitwan, October 14 — A motorcycle and a scooter collided at Shantichowk in Ratnanagar Municipality-3, resulting in the death of one person.

The accident involved a motorcycle with the license plate Na 46 Pa 8248, coming from Khairahani towards Tandi, and a scooter with the license plate Na 56 Pa 9169, traveling from Tandi to Khairahani. The police reported that the scooter rider, 21-year-old Dipesh Chaudhary from Khairahani Municipality-1, died during treatment.

According to Indradev Yadav, the Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Chaudhary succumbed to his injuries at Manokamana Hospital in Bharatpur at around 7:15 PM.

Yadav also mentioned that Arjun Chaudhary, 24, who was riding on the back of the scooter, sustained serious injuries and is receiving treatment for injuries to his nose and mouth at Manokamana Hospital.

Additionally, the motorcycle rider, 22-year-old Anis Basnet, and another passenger on the motorcycle, 22-year-old Sujek Darai, both from Khairahani Municipality-1, were injured. Their conditions are reported as moderate, and they are being treated at Old Medical College in Bharatpur. The accident occurred at around 6:15 PM today.
