Nepal Police to operate free bus services today in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, October 12 — The Nepal Police is providing free bus services today in celebration of Bijaya Dashami, due to the limited number of public vehicles on the roads.

Dan Bahadur Karki, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and central spokesperson for Nepal Police, announced that two buses will be operating—one for the Kathmandu Ring Road and the other for local roads—to facilitate transportation for the public.

As today is Dashain Tika, there will be very few public vehicles available. Therefore, we have implemented these free bus services to help people visit their relatives for Tika and other important activities, said DIG Karki.

Routes for the free buses

One bus will depart from the Police Headquarters in Naxal, stopping at Baluwatar, Teaching Hospital, Chakrapath, New Buspark, Balaju, Swoyambhu, Kalanki, Balkhu, Satdobato, Lagankhel, Jawalakhel, Thapathali, Maitighar, Putali Sadak, and Jay Nepal Cinema before returning to Naxal.

The other bus will also leave from Naxal, taking a route to Ratopul, Gaushala, the Airport, Koteshwor, Thimi, Sallaghari, Suryabinayak, Chahabil, Sukedhara, Chakrapath, Teaching Hospital, Baluwatar, and then returning to Naxal.
