Modibeni to Mudikuwa road reopens
Parbat, October 10 — The Kaligandaki Lokmarga, a national pride project connecting the north and south, has reopened the road from Modibeni to Mudikuwa in Parbat.
The road had been blocked since last Ashad due to landslides during the monsoon, but it resumed operation on Wednesday. Following repeated requests from the mayor of Phalebas Municipality, Gangadhar Tiwari, the project office repaired the road in time for the major Nepali festival, Dashain. The construction company responsible for the road had hesitated to reopen it, prompting the municipality to intervene.
With the road now open, vehicles have begun to operate along the route to Phalebas, Mahashila, Bihadi, and Paiyun in southern Parbat, significantly reducing travel time for residents by nearly an hour, as noted by Mayor Tiwari.
