Ramkrishna Dhakal commences 'Australia Tour' in Sydney
Sydney, September 29 — Singer Ramkrishna Dhakal has officially started his “Ramkrishna Dhakal Australia Tour” in Sydney, Australia. The concert took place at the Indreni Function Center, where he performed a mix of new and classic songs.
Dhakal captivated the audience with popular tracks such as "Bachunjelilai," "Oraali Lageko," "Najik Aunuma," and "Chari Le Ta Chhadera," starting with "Bihan Uthne Bittikai." His rendition of songs by the legendary Narayan Gopal alongside a local band resonated deeply with attendees.
Wrapping up the event with his dance number "Ae Maya Jadau," the audience enthusiastically joined in. Dhakal expressed his excitement about the tour, noting that he has been performing in Australia since 2009, making this his fourth visit.
During the concert, he took a moment to address the recent floods and landslides in Nepal, expressing his concern for those affected. “As an artist, my duty is my work. I consider the family of a songwriter in Nepal as my own,” he stated, acknowledging the ongoing rescue efforts at the songwriter's house while he performed.
Organized by Palpa Services, Dhakal managed to engage the audience for three hours, with chairman Dinesh Shrestha noting that Sydney residents were thrilled to hear him live. Looking ahead, Dhakal plans to celebrate this Dashain in Australia, with performances scheduled in various cities, including Newcastle and Adelaide.
Additionally, he premiered his new song "Jeewan Ko Hisab," which addresses the struggles faced by Nepalis forced to migrate for work due to financial challenges. The song features lyrics by Manoj Khadka and music by Denny Niraula, with a video directed by Dhanendra Rasaili and performances by actors like Dilip Rayamajhi and Sabina Thapaliya.
