Embassy alerts Nepali nationals as Iran strikes Israel

KATHMANDU: Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Iran has launched a barrage of aerial attacks targeting Israel, marking a significant escalation in hostilities.

Responding swiftly to the unfolding situation, the Embassy of Nepal in Israel has issued a stern advisory to Nepali nationals, urging them to exercise caution and minimize outdoor activities.

Highlighting the paramount importance of adhering to security protocols, the embassy underscores the need for Nepali citizens to remain vigilant and stay updated on directives from Israeli authorities.

In the event of an emergency, Nepali nationals are urged to promptly reach out to designated contacts for assistance.

Iran's retaliatory strikes come in the wake of a recent attack on its consulate in Syria, which resulted in the loss of several high-ranking officers, including a prominent commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

While Iran holds Israel responsible for the attack, Israel has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement, exacerbating tensions in the region.
