Ireland Wolves sets high target of 285 runs for Nepal ‘A’ in final ODI match
KATHMANDU: Ireland Wolves, opting to bat first after winning the toss, has posted a challenging target of 285 runs for Nepal ‘A’ to chase in the concluding match of the ODI series.
At the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Stephen Doheny stood out with a remarkable century, contributing 107 runs to the Irish team's score.
PJ Moor and M Humphreys also played their part, adding 44 and 23 runs respectively.
Nepal ‘A’ put up a good fight in the bowling department, with Rijan Dhakal and Ranjit Kumar claiming three wickets each, while Bikash Aagri and Shahab Alam took one wicket each.
With victories in two out of three matches, Ireland Wolves has secured the ODI series title. Nepal ‘A’ faced defeats of 21 runs and 114 runs in the first and second matches respectively, sealing the series win for the Irish team.
Additionally, Ireland Wolves emerged victorious in the recent T20 series against Nepal ‘A’.
