Ireland Wolves sets 175-run target for Nepal 'A'

KATHMANDU: Nepal 'A' faces a target of 175 runs set by Ireland Wolves in the ongoing ODI series match in Kathmandu.

Choosing to field first, Nepal 'A' allowed Ireland Wolves to bat, where they managed to put up a total of 174 runs, losing all their wickets in 38.4 overs.

Gavin Hoey top-scored for Ireland Wolves with 50 runs, followed by Neil Rock with 45 runs and Liam McCarthy with 35 runs.

In the bowling department, Rijan Dhakal and Shahab Alam were standout performers, each securing three wickets.

Mausam Dhakal took two wickets, while Kamal Singh Airee clinched one.

After a defeat in the opening match, Nepal 'A' needs a win today to keep their hopes alive in the three-day ODI series.
