Singer Rajesh Payal Rai released

KATHMANDU: Singer Rajesh Payal Rai, well-known for his melodious tunes, has been freed from custody subsequent to an incident that led to his arrest in Kathmandu late last night.

The authorities disclosed that Rai, accompanied by two others, was detained due to disturbances and alcohol consumption.

The apprehension occurred in the vicinity of Madan Bhandari College, Kathmandu, prompted by grievances lodged by local residents concerning disturbances and commotion.

Rai, post-release, has purportedly committed to abstaining from such actions in the future, as per police reports.
