Nepal's cricket squad announced for Friendship Cup and Ireland 'A' match
KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled the 15-member Nepali cricket squad set to participate in the Friendship Cup in India and engage in a match against Ireland 'A' on home soil.
Leading the team will be Rohit Kumar Poudel, serving as captain. Alongside Poudel, the squad includes Ashif Shekh, Kushal Bhurtel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, Bibek Yadav, Sandip Jora, Anil Shah, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Gulshan Jha, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi, Pratis GC, Avinash Bohra, and Akash Chand.
Nepal is scheduled to play a T-20 match against Ireland at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on March 25 and 26. Following this fixture, the Nepali team will depart for India.
In India, Nepal will face Gujarat in its opening match on March 31, followed by a clash with Baroda on April 2. Subsequently, Nepal will encounter Gujarat again on April 3, and conclude their series with a match against Baroda on April 5.
The top two teams from the league stage will advance to the final match, slated for April 7, after competing in two matches against each other.
