Nepal vs Hong Kong T20 opener abandoned
KATHMANDU: The highly anticipated clash between Nepal and host nation Hong Kong, China, in the Tri-nations T20 International Series came to an abrupt end as rain played spoilsport, forcing the abandonment of the match.
Nepal, after winning the toss, elected to bowl first at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.
However, before the rain intervened, Hong Kong managed to put up a commendable score of 65 runs, losing two wickets in eight overs.
Disappointment hung heavy in the air as players and fans alike were left longing for a full-fledged contest.
Nevertheless, the focus now shifts to the upcoming matches in the series. Nepal is set to take on PNG, while Hong Kong will face off against PNG in the next round of matches scheduled for Tuesday.
