Eight Nepali nationals deported from US

KATHMANDU: The United States has deported eight Nepali nationals who entered the country through illegal means, sending them back to Kathmandu.

According to Superintendent of Police Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal, spokesperson for the Nepal Police Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau, the US government arranged for their return via a chartered flight.

"Eight Nepali individuals who had entered the US through illegal routes were repatriated to Kathmandu on Thursday," he confirmed.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances under which they entered the US illegally.
