APF restrains Sudurpaschim to 87 runs with Chandan Ram's five-wicket masterclass

KATHMANDU: A captivating showdown unfolded in the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Tournament 2024 as the Armed Police Force Club (APF) exhibited their cricket prowess by limiting Sudurpaschim Province to a modest 87 runs.

Opting for a strategic move after winning the toss, APF's decision to bowl first proved to be a game-changer as they effectively restricted Sudurpaschim Province to a challenging 87 runs in a mere 16.2 overs.

The standout performance of the day came from Chandan Ram, who set the pitch ablaze with a remarkable five-wicket haul against Sudurpaschim Province, conceding just 51 runs in seven overs.

Adding to the brilliance, Bhuvan Karki played a pivotal role by securing three wickets for the APF team.

The batting efforts of Sudurpaschim Province saw Narayan Joshi contributing 31 runs, while Khadak Bohora added 24 runs to the scoreboard.

Despite their notable contributions, the disciplined bowling attack of APF presented a formidable challenge, showcasing the team's skill and coordination.
