APF secures dominant victory, defeats Lumbini Province by seven wickets in PM Cup
KATHMANDU: In a spectacular display of skill and determination, the Armed Police Force (APF) emerged victorious by defeating Lumbini Province by seven wickets in a riveting match of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament 2024.
Captain Rohit Poudel's stellar performance, marked by a commanding half-century, set the tone for APF's success, while Ramesh Kurmi's exceptional bowling, yielding five wickets and two maiden overs, played a crucial role in dismantling Lumbini Province.
Chasing a modest target of 134 runs, APF showcased their batting prowess by confidently reaching the goal with only three wickets down in 22.3 overs. Puran BK's contribution of 33 runs and Amar Rautela's unbeaten eight runs added depth to the batting lineup, underscoring APF's dominance in the match.
Lumbini Province, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, saw Dilsad Ali leading the charge with the highest score of 39 runs, supported by opener Mirnal Gurung's 34 runs.
