Asian Games: Nepalese tennis player Pradip Khadka reaches 2nd round
KATHMANDU, Sep 24: Nepalese tennis player Pradip Khadka has reached the second round of the Men's Singles in the 19th Asian Games. He reached the second stage by beating East Timor's Antonio Mendes in the first round of the competition.
Pradip defeated Antonio by 6-0 in both the first and second sets of the match. It took him 29 minutes to win the first set and only 17 minutes to win the second set.
Nepalese player Abhilasha Bista will be facing Thailand's Mananchaya Sawangkaew in the Women's Singles on Sunday. Nepalese player Mahika Rana is facing South Korea's Park So-hyun in the Women's Singles as well. On the men's side, Nepal is facing India in the Men's Doubles.
