Chief-of-the-Army-Staff General releases song 'Symbol of National Unity - The Nepali Army'

KATHMANDU, Sep 19: The music video of the song titled 'Symbol of National Unity - The Nepali Army' has been released. Chief-of-the-Army-Staff General Prabhuram Sharma released the music video during a program held at the Army Headquarters Jangi Adda on Tuesday.

The song composed by Rajendra Bajgain discusses the activities and contributions of the Nepalese Army in the past. Singers Gita Pandey and Subash Timsina have duet vocals in the song and the chorus is sung by Narayan Thapa, Rabindra Lamichhane, Raj Kumar Ale Magar, Rajib Pariyar and Hemanta Ramjali Magar.

The lyrics for the song were written by Major General Baburam Shrestha and the music was arranged by Dinesh Sunam. The video was directed by Bishesh Poudyal. Songwriter Shrestha said that he wrote the song because he wanted to discuss the contributions of the Nepalese Army to the country since its formation.
