Dr. Trishala Gurung to perform in Asia Cup Opening Ceremony

KATHMANDU, Aug 30: The 16th edition of the Asia Cup Cricket Tournament commences on Wednesday, today in Pakistan. In the opening match of the tournament, organizer Pakistan is playing against Nepal. It is Nepal’s first time playing the Asia Cup.

The opening match will start at 3:15 pm according to Nepali time following the opening ceremony at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Pakistan. The opening ceremony will start at 2:15 pm according to Nepali time.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has informed that Singers Trishala Gurung from Nepal and Aima Baig from Pakistan will give their performances. Aside from the two singers, a few more artists will also be performing in the opening ceremony, it has been informed.

6 nations are participating in the Asia Cup. Group 'A' of the tournament includes India along with Nepal and Pakistan, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in Group ‘B’. Apart from Pakistan, Asia Cup matches will also be played in Sri Lanka.
