Saruk's father Sanu Tamrakar passes away during treatment

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Senior actor Sanu Tamrakar, who lost his son Saruk a few weeks ago, has passed away during treatment.

According to Mohan Niraula, the Chairman of the Film Artistes Association of Nepal (FAAN), Tamrakar passed away while being treated at Norvic Hospital at around 3 pm on Saturday.

Tamrakar's health deteriorated after his son's lifeless body was found at his house last July. He was admitted to ICU in late July due to kidney problems.

Chairman Niraula has said that his funeral will be performed tomorrow. Sanu Tamrakar was a senior actor who starred in many films including "Jeevan Rekha, Badalido Aakash, Nirmohi, Jun Tara, Surakshya, Ragat, Jwalamukhi, Jeevan Mrityu, Man Manai Man Paraye, Aviyan, Pal, Gambler, Bhui Manchhe and Meri Mamu.

Tamrakar had also become the Acting Chairman of the Film Artistes Association of Nepal (FAAN) for three years.
