Paras Khadka to contest in election for Bagmati Province Cricket Association Chairperson
KATHMANDU, Aug 25: The former captain of the Nepali Cricket Team Paras Khadka has announced that he will contest in the election for the Chairperson of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association in a press conference organized in Kathmandu on Friday.
The election of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association is being held on September 1. The recognized members of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association from the Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Makwanpur districts jointly organized a press conference.
The representatives of the district associations present at the press conference expressed their commitment to support Paras in the election of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association. Paras is a working committee member of the Kathmandu District Cricket Association.
Bhaktapur District Cricket Association Chairperson Manishraj Pandey said that they have agreed to aid Paras in the election of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association Chairperson. Diwakar Ghale, the chairperson of the Kathmandu District Cricket Association, also expressed his belief that there will be everyone's support and cooperation to make Paras win the election.
Ghale also requested other districts of the Bagmati province to help Paras. Representatives of Chitwan and Nuwakot districts, who are also members of the Bagmati Province Cricket Association, however, were not present at the press conference.
