Maoists to revoke Minister Modi from government
KATHMANDU, Aug 13: CPN-Maoist Centre has made the decision to revoke the Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister, Amanlal Modi, from his post.
The decision to revoke Modi from the government was made during the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Sunday.
CPN Maoist Centre leader and the Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Modi stated that the party made an "acceptable" decision.
During the meeting, Minister Modi said that he had submitted a resignation three months ago and was only in the post per the Prime Minister's request.
Janamat Party's MP Anita Kumari Shah is expected to be appointed a minister in place of Modi.
