Asia Hockey Champions Trophy: India advances to Finals beating Japan
NEW DEHLI, Aug 12: The India hockey team has advanced to the Finals beating Japan by 5-0 in the semi-finals of the Asia Hockey Champions Trophy.
India will now make its first final appearance in the Asia Hockey Champions Trophy after five years.
With this win, India has now reached the finals for the fifth time. Previously in 2018, the Indian team jointly won with Pakistan.
India will now play the Finals against Malaysia on the 12th of August. Malaysia proceeded to the finals beating the defending champions South Korea by 6-2.
India previously defeated Malaysia in the group stage by 5-0 as well.
