Eight teams move on to quarter-finals, match schedule released

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The FIFA Women's World Cup 2023, jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand, is currently underway. With the pre-quarterfinals over on August 8, Tuesday, the match of the last eight will begin on the 11th of August, Friday.

The teams to move on to the quarter-finals are Spain, Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Australia, France, England, and Colombia. On Friday, Spain is playing against the Netherlands, while Japan is facing Sweden, and on Saturday, England will face Colombia, while Australia will play against France.

France advanced into the quarter-final by defeating Morocco, Colombia by defeating Jamaica, England by winning against Nigeria, Australia against Denmark, Sweden against the USA, the Netherlands by winning against South Africa, Spain by defeating Switzerland, and Japan by winning against Norway.
