3-party-meeting to remove parliament obstruction ongoing in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: A meeting is being held between the leaders of the three main parties; the Nepali Congress, the CPN UML and the CPN Maoist Center to remove the obstruction of the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and the chairman of the main opposition party CPN UML KP Sharma Oli are participating in the meeting that started at 11 am today.

UML has been continuing its obstruction in the parliament demanding a high-level investigation committee in the recent gold smuggling scandal. UML has been obstructing the HoR meeting after an understanding was not made, to resume the parliament, in discussions on Monday and Tuesday.
