AFC Cup Qualification: Machhindra beats Bhutanese club

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Nepalese club Machhindra has defeated Bhutanese club Paro FC in the preliminary stage of the AFC Cup Qualifiers. 

After defeating the Paro FC by 3-2 goals, Machhindra Club has reached the second stage of the AFC Cup Qualifiers.

Bhutan took an early lead in the match as Paro's Kazuo Homma took scored a goal in the 7th minute of the match.

But they could not hold the lead as Bimal Gharti Magar, Aayush Ghalan and Afiz Oladio each scored a piece to win the match.

Although Ivan Ashante scored a goal for Paro at the 71st-minute mark, it was not enough for a comeback.

Machhindra will now compete against the Indian club Mohan Bagan on the 16th of August.
