PM Dahal returns home

KATHMANDU, July 28: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has returned home after a visit to Italy. He arrived at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu on Friday morning.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, and others reached the airport to welcome the Prime Minister back.

A unit of the Nepali Army saluted him at the airport. He left for Italy on July 6, leading the Nepali delegation to participate in the 'Food System Summit Plus Two' organized by the United Nations, Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy.

During the visit, PM Dahal addressed the 'Food System Summit' and said that it is necessary to increase investment in the agriculture of the least developed countries in order to deal with climate change and other disasters and to strengthen their adaptive capacity. He also addressed the 'United Nations Food System-2023 Stocking Moment'.
