Action dismissed against 12 leaders including Province MP and Mayor

KATHMANDU, July 26: The Nepal Congress has dismissed the action taken against the leaders who won the local level, union and Province Assembly elections as rebel candidates.
The decision to dismiss the action was made during the meeting of the Central Action Committee on Wednesday.

Devendra Shahi, who won the Province Assembly election from Jumla independently and Jangilal Rai, who won the Province Assembly election from Sarlahi have been acquitted.

The actions against Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan Mayor Manoj Kumar Shah, Bardibas Mayor Prahlad Kumar Chhetri, deputy mayor Taradevi Mahato and Chandannath Municipality Mayor Rajusingh Kathayat were also dismissed, informed General Minister Bishwaprakash Sharma.

Similarly, Bardibas Ward Presidents Ram Sawarat Yadav, Bijay Mahato and Bindeshwar Yadav have also been acquitted. Bardibas leaders Akkal Tamang, Pramod Moktan and Laxman Singh have also been acquitted.
