Germany overwhelms Morocco by half dozen goals
AUSTRALIA, July 24: Germany began their Women's World Cup campaign in style as they overwhelmed the debutants Morocco in a blowout win.
The first two goals for Germany were scored by Striker Popp in the 11th and 39th minutes, both headers.
The other 2 goals were scored by Klara Buhl and the substitute Lea Schuller at the 46th and 90th minute marks of the match.
Morocco suffered a soul-crushing defeat at the hands of Germany as they conceived own goals twice, one by Morocoo's Hanane Ait el Haj and the other by Yasmin Mrabet.
After scoring 6 goals on Morocco, Germany are now the favourites to top Group H.
