NRN UK Elections to be held today

BRITAIN, July 22: Elections are being held today for the upcoming term of the Non-Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) UK.

The coordinator of the Election Committee of the Association Chirnajibi Dhakal informed that 4183 voters are voting in the election. According to the Committee, the online voting will take place from 6 am to 12 pm. 

Dinesh Ghimire, Hitkaji Gurung and Narayan Kandel are the candidates in the NRN elections. Ghimire is being supported by the association's executive president, Dr. Badri KC, while another president, Kul Acharya, has supported Gurung. Kandel is participating as an independent candidate.

6 people including Shunilbabu Khadka, Mohan Karki, Bishnu Chalise, Chandra Bahadur Gurung, Dilraj Gurung, and Dr. Sunil Shah are competing for the 4 ICC (central) members of the association.

Similarly, the candidates for the 2 vice chairmen of the association are Gyanendra Ale, Rabindra Kandel, Suresh Pariyar, Oman Gauchan and Karma Sherpa. There will also be an election between Manish Kharel and Ram Prasad Bagale for the vice chairmanship of Scotland.

Elections will also be held between Gobinda Kharel and Balkrishna Bhushal for the General Secretary, and between Hem Gurung and Suman Sharma as co-treasurers.

There'll be elections between Bikash Nepal and Sujit Shahi for youth coordinator. Other officers of the association have already been elected unanimously.

Similarly, an election will be held between Shambhu Prasad Aryal and Santosh Kumar Subedi for the Chairman of the Council of State of England.
