Sandeep Chhetri’s program ‘What the Flop’ closed

KATHMANDU, July 20: Kantipur Television has closed the program ‘What the Flop’. The Television decided this after the program run by actor Sandeep Chhetri was dragged into a controversial debate.

He has been accused of calling actor Paul Shah in his show and making fun of the rape issue. The television said, “Since the dialogue with the selected characters in ‘What the Flop’ aired on July 8, Saturday, is against our editorial policy, we have removed the video from YouTube. Respecting women's self-respect and society's awareness, we would like to inform you that the production and broadcasting of the ‘What the Flop’ program has been completely stopped.”

Apart from that, the television will soon come with an excellent program, it has been informed.

Presenter Sandeep invited actor Paul Shah, who was acquitted by the district and high courts on the charge of minor rape, as a guest. In the program, when Shah was narrating his experience of being jailed, Chettri was making fun of it and laughing. It has been criticized that a sensitive subject like rape has been joked around on national television.
