Nepalese passenger abuses Air India crew, breaks lavatory door

NEW DEHLI, July 13: Dehli Police has registered a case against a Nepalese for abusing an Air India cabin crew member and breaking the lavatory door inside the airplane after taking off from Toronto.

The cabin supervisor Aditya Kumar stated that a Nepalese passenger named Mahesh Singh Pandit changed his seat from 26 E to 26 F and started abusing the economy class crew members.

Aditya stated in the FIR that the passenger was given a warning after he started abusing the crew members. Later, the passenger was caught smoking a cigarette after the smoke alarm sounded on the plane.

Cabin supervisor Aditya also mentioned that they were able to restrain the accused passenger with the help of 10 other passengers but later got information that the accused was also trying to beat the passengers.

The Dehli Police registered a case under sections 323/506/336 Indian Penal Code and 22,23,25 Aircraft rules at IGI Police station. Further investigation in the case is underway.
