Political activities nil today after Sita Dahal’s demise

KATHMANDU, July 12: Political activities have come to a halt after Sita Dahal, the wife of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, passed away this morning.

After the demise of 69-year-old Dahal, the scheduled political activities have come to a halt.

The National Assembly meeting, Socialist Front meeting, and the Central Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress have been postponed. 

Similarly, those who became ministers on March 31 have also postponed the program of announcing their 100-day progress report today. 

Likewise, the meeting of the Finance and Industry Trade and Consumer Interest Committee under the subjective committee of the Parliament has also been postponed.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' was to inaugurate the program to include informal and self-employed workers, which has also been postponed until another date is set.
